Festival Voix De Femmes #7

The seventh edition of the Voix de Femmes Festival opened in Liege on 28 and 29 October 2005 (Centre Culturel de Seraing and Centre Culturel Arabe) and went on to Antwerp (Wcc Zuiderpershuis) and Brussels (Halles de Schaerbeek) until 5 November 2005. From night to night, we heard the voices of different artists. On 5 November, the festival’s Closing Ceremonies were held at the Halles de Schaerbeek, gathering all the artists of the festival.

For the first time since its creation, the festival presented a collective exhibition around one theme: The Lost. Art was created from the compilation of meetings and stories that came from the four seminars of the Network of Mothers, artists, young people or professionals, visual artists, directors, authors, women of theatre, and the associations. Pencil drawings, doll’s bodies, paintwork collages, collective sculptures, but also installations and performances set themselves up in the Halles space to there to bring more eyes and more writing, whether violent, displaced, intimate or wretched.
