About the "Curieuse résidence"

Voix De Femmes’s mission is to encourage, support and broadcast women artists and their work. In this aim, the association has a multifaceted artistic support policy, achieved through a rather peculiar residency, created in 2016.

The Curieuse Résidence targets an artist or collective of artists residing in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

Running over an entire year (from January to December), this residency builds a fully modular artistic support that responds to the specific needs to the selected project. As such, the residency project is fully designed with the artist or collective selected. Its main purpose is to encourage the process of research, creation and even the production of artistic work, if need be.

Open to all artistic disciplines, the Curieuse Résidenceis particularly appreciative of inter- and transdisciplinary reflections.

In 2019, artists and collectives whose practices include live performance (dance, theatre, etc.) will be given preference.

The Curieuse Residence takes a little break in 2024. Our next calls for proposals will be announced on our website, newsletter and social media.
